The freebies keep on coming!
Another week, another stack of free instruments and sounds! We’re going to have to create a repository for all this goodness soon!
This one’s from us! We’ve just reviewed Sugar Bytes’ Cyclop bass synth, and we’ve arranged a copy to give away to one of you guys! Entry takes about 30 seconds; all you have to do is Like our Facebook page, then post your favourite of our posts or YouTube videos to your own wall and tag us in the post so we can see your entry – simple! Just make sure you make your post ‘public’ so that it shows up on our page! The picture in our review will help make things even clearer if you’re not sure…
(this competition will close at 0000GMT on the 30th of June 2012)
Free Drum Samples from the Roland CR-78
We all like free drum samples, right? Here’s a sweet package of samples and loops from Roland’s classic CR78 rhythm machine, courtesy of Boxed Ear (thanks to the ever great BedroomProducersBlog for spotting this one!), sampled lovingly with a Universal Audio 1176 compressor for that FET punch. There are 17 one shots and 27 rex loops, so go get it!
Minimoog-V Original: Free Minimoog from Arturia
This is a biggie – so big it’s only going to be officially available for one day! In honour of World Music Day, Arturia will be providing a free version of their excellent Minimoog V; Minimoog V Original cuts out the added bonus functionality that Arturia added to the Minimoog design to make their full plugin, but this still leaves you with a terrific sounding Minimoog synth that has all the capabilities of the original! Minimoog V Original will be available for 24 hours starting at 0000CEST on the 21st of June 2012!
Beat Zampler: Free Sampler with SFZ Support
Beat Zampler is a nice free sample player for Windows and Mac that comes with a 170MB library of classic sounds. The coolest things about Beat Zampler are the built in arpeggiator, some nice effects and filters and the mod matrix that allows anything to be modulated by the envelopes or any of the three LFOs. Add in SFZ support and you end up with a competent sampler!0
